Upload your dental treatment plan. If your insurance is on it, Dentafax lines up every procedure against your plan’s fee schedule and shows you which prices don’t match.

A PDF from the front desk or a clear photo of the printout. The procedure codes (they start with a D, like D2740) need to be readable.
We find your insurance
Dentafax reads the carrier and plan printed on your treatment plan and pulls up that plan’s fee schedule.
Compare line by line
Every procedure is matched to the fee your insurance allows for it, so you can see exactly where the quote and your plan disagree.
Every line gets one of three answers.
Your insurance agrees on a price for each procedure with in-network dentists. Dentafax holds your treatment plan up to that list, so you walk into your appointment knowing which questions to ask.
Over the fee schedule
The plan quotes more than your insurance allows. Ask the office why before you agree to it.

Good questions.
My insurance isn’t printed on my treatment plan. Now what?
Dentafax uses the insurance on the plan to know which fee schedule to check against. Ask the front desk for a copy with your insurance attached. Most dental office software prints it that way with one click.
Does a higher price mean my dentist is overcharging me?
Not always. Out-of-network dentists don’t have to follow your plan’s fees, and plans can change between years. Treat each difference as a question to ask, not an accusation.
What’s a fee schedule, anyway?
It’s the list of prices your insurance has agreed on with in-network dentists, one for each procedure code. If your dentist is in network, the fee schedule is usually the most they can charge for that procedure.
Got a treatment plan on the fridge?
Bring it over. Bucky checks every line against your fee schedule.
